Pierre Pelletier is an electrical engineer who began his career with Hydro-Québec as a special testing engineer and a power systems expert. As one of the inventors of interphase power controller technology, he directed a project aimed at developing this technology at the Centre d’innovation sur le transport d’énergie du Québec (CITEQ). He contributed to over 25 articles on the subject and has appeared as guest speaker in London (England), Brussels, Budapest and Washington, D.C. The energy transport products he developed are now produced and marketed by ABB under license from CITEQ.
President of NovelOrg and an amateur organist, Pierre Pelletier, together with his technical team, perfected an electromechanical action system for pipe organs. Thanks to his know-how, which combines music and electrical engineering, he has developed an original product aimed at simplifying the traditional organ building process, while maintaining the original aesthetics of the organ.
Mathieu Bouchard earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Montréal’s École de technologie supérieure (ETS) with specializations in electronics and programming. He worked for a number of companies in the fields of electronics hardware design and embedded systems programming.
In addition to holding a DCS in music from Montréal’s Cégep de St-Laurent, Mr. Bouchard is also a jazz guitarist. He rounded out his training with such renowned musicians as Lorraine Desmarais, Benoît Charest and Jean-Pierre Zanella. As a key member of several ensembles, he took part in the Montréal International Jazz Festival in 2003.
Mr. Bouchard serves as the Head of Research and Development at NovelOrg, and is also a shareholder in the company.
André Chénier is an electronics design technician who began his career in the field of nuclear physics research at Université Laval in Québec City. He worked on a number of research and high-voltage/high-power testing projects at Hydro-Québec’s Research Institute, where he served as a specialist in measurement and instrumentation, as well as in electronics design.
Mr. Chénier is an amateur guitarist and is particularly interested in technologies that apply to organs and to music in general. As a key member of the NovelOrg team, he is in charge of the hardware design of the new electromechanical action system.
